City Motorplex, in conjunction with ILoveMusicCity.com, held the first annual
Nashville's Future Star! competition June 9th at the Music City Motorplex, to
kick off the CMA Festival (formerly "Fan Fair"). The
grand prize winner of $1000 was 28-year-old Sage Keffer (pronounced "Keefer"),
who performed two of his own songs. Second place (and the winner of $500) went
to 13-year-old Joanna Allen who slayed the judges with her fabulous yodeling;
and third place ($250) went to Amanda Wilson who performed two of her own songs. The
event benefited "Be In the Click," a school-based safety program
designed to increase seatbelt usage among teenage drivers (www.beintheclick.com).
